Congratulations to Dr. Kovar who was reelected as the Chairman of Pediatrics at Edward Hospital!
The Flu shots are in at Kids First Pediatrics. We will be getting multiple shipments in over the next few months.
Flu shots are recommended for children over the age of 6 months. Please remember that for children under 9 years of age, they require 2 shots the first time they receive it.
Please remember that your child must have had a well visit within the last 2 years. If the well check was performed at another facility, we require a copy of that physical.
Finally, a legal guardian must be present for your child to receive the flu vaccine.

Phone Calls
Please note, when contacting the office, please always call the main phone number (815) 609-KIDS (5437). Although our staff may call you on an alternate number, the main number is the one that gives you information after the office is closed. If you call an alternate number it will just ring.
No Show Policy
Due to an increased number of no shows, Kids First Pediatrics will charge an $85 no show fee if you do not call within 24 hours to cancel your child's office visit. Please call us to cancel your child's appointment if you go elsewhere or your child no longer needs to be seen at our office so that we can care for another child at that time.
